Heat Danger in Vehicles is ALL YEAR ROUND
Even on a mild 70°day, the inside temp of a vehicle can reach 120° in an hour. A baby’s body temperature rises 3 to 5 times faster than an adult’s, reaching the life-endangering stage of 105° in just minutes. Based on Jan Null’s research, 51% of hyperthermia deaths of children left in cars happen because they were forgotten by a caregiver. It can happen to anyone. All it takes is a change in habit or a distraction in their daily routine to forget a sleeping child in the back seat of the car.
A Matter of Habit
VisibleKIDS wants to prevent this tragedy from striking another family by utilizing VizKID instead of the normally recommended items such as a purse, briefcase or a stuffed toy in the passenger front seat. Merely moving around these everyday items that are not intended for this purpose, doesn’t stand the habit-change test of 21 days to ensure success.
A child is usually driven by more than one adult, requiring each driver to change his or her routine.
VizKID’s sole purpose is to be a reminder to the driver and passersby that a child is in the back seat of the car, right NOW!
How VizKID Works
-
Baby in back?
-
Buckle VizKID into front seat.
-
Baby out?
-
Put VizKID on floor, or Buckle VizKID down on its side, or in baby car seat.
